-- now playing ... loading ... welcome to the hackers voice! the hackers voice is a community designed to bring back hacking and phreaking to the uk . hacking is the exploration of computer science, electronics, or anything that has been modified to perform a function that it wasn't originally designed to perform. hacking is not evil, despite what the mainstream media says. we do not break into people / corporations' computer systems and networks with the intent to steal information, software or intellectual property. we are explorers. in the last decade we primarily focused ourselves on exploring the ever intriguing if not fascinating realm that is computer and network security. some of the greatest programmers and engineers of all time have been hackers . another great hacker, steve wozniak , creator of apple computers . steve created the apple 1 from spare electronic parts from hp calculators ! that my friends is a hack! linus torvalds, creator of the linux operating system is a hacker, he created linux, one of the greatest pieces of software ever created. linux is not evil, it is revolutionary. it makes up 80% of the worlds web servers, and is used by numerous massive corporations. if a hackers operating system was evil, would enterprising businesses use it? i think not. phone phreaks are hackers of the phone system . phreaking is where most hackers start with the curiosity of how the phone system works. eventually we go around the system, poking it to see if there is any weaknesses or goodies to be discovered. although in the commercialised capitalistic business world, exploiting the phone system might seem criminal, but the real crime is the monopoly that telcos have over the system, and the outrageous prices that they charge. information should be free. information wants to be free. information belongs to the world! we are a collective of hackers from around the united kingdom as well as from the rest of the world, who strive to bring back the 'scene' to what it once was. we hope you join us in this quest to bring the uk hacking community together. hvr news unknown error type: mysql_connect(): the mysql extension is deprecated and will be removed in the future: use mysqli or pdo instead b1tch p3lz hacked on fri 25th jan 2013 21:24 bst by belial up and coming christmas edition of thv digest just a small announcement that issue 4 of the hackers voice digest will be released around the christmas holiday period. it is just a small light issue with little of the polish and veneer of our previous issues but none the less, still a small reminder to everyone that the lights are still on, we are still here and we are still actively pursuing projects. also keep your eyes peeled for a little project that belial has been quietly working on... here is a little preview: hacked on mon 26th nov 2012 21:00 bst by blue_chimp latest hvtv episode looks at the pandaboard es hacked on sun 30th sep 2012 10:29 bst by belial fun fun fun hacked on wed 15th aug 2012 22:19 bst by belial news update irc services have been restored. there was over 24 hours of downtime due to our hosting company being totally incompetent. we now have 3 servers joined in a network. many many thanks to signius for stepping in and helping out. thanks to everyone else for waiting till we came back up. over the next few weeks we will be slowly moving away from the old server onto our new servers. also, the stream is back up and running motherfuckerzzzz. again thanks to signius for rebuilding it. click at the top to listen like a bad ass. belial hacked on sat 7th jul 2012 10:43 bst by belial .: irc server down:. the irc server is currently unavailable due to the server it is running on has failed for some unknown reason. there is a ticket open with the vps provider. they are being slow as usual. hacked on tue 3rd jul 2012 18:56 bst by belial can you crack it ? a happy new year to you all from thv, with that in mind, maybe something to look forward to in 2012! unless you are a complete loony-toon you will be fairly aware that breaking aes is near enough impossible. to get close, you would probably need unlimited budgets and the ability to commandeer the worlds most powerful supercomputers. so its fair to assume your favourite intelligence agencies will more than likely be the only organisations that could even get close. so is it really impenetrable? information that we have obtained suggests that there may be alternative and very real attacks available. the details are extremely sketchy. as the title suggests, we are not sure if this is just vapourware. but from what we do know the attack could be very devastating to pretty much any encryption algorithm. the makers of this device have some pedigree, backing by a well-known university and probably tight spooky connections. fundamentally the attack focuses on breaking the key handling implementation rather than the actual crypto algorithm itself. as we all know, aes itself is very secure. however the key will at some point in its life become vulnerable to a very fundamental flaw that every single bit of silicon suffers from; side channel attack. not only are the physical chips vulnerable to attack but so is any over the air transmission, power line em leakage or any other form of analogue carrier. traditionally side channel, dpa and multi-pipline power analysis attacks have been reserved for academics, three letter agencies and of course vast budgets with well stocked labs. this is what makes sdca so devastating. just like we have seen with sdr (software defined radios) the ability to implement complex hardware functions into a flexible platform controlled, operated and monitored via software means that the principle obstacle is removed. the kit would be fairly inexpensive, composed of off the shelf components maybe topping $150-200. driven by an fpga with a very streamlined sensor front end allowing you to pretty much analyse and break any analogue waveform function with a new method called pipeline emission analysis pea. so thats it for now. maybe one day we might get our hands on this rumoured equipment and do a write up, till then. peace love and unity, belial. hacked on sun 1st jan 2012 12:22 bst by belial 0x46d613e0f84a764c coming for you next! hacked on sat 31st dec 2011 23:01 bst by belial hvtv teaser video hacked on sun 4th dec 2011 20:05 bst by belial hv hacklab data output hacked on sat 23rd jul 2011 20:27 bst by belial .:media phone hacking:. dear visitors, it has come to our attention that a an increasing number of visitors are reaching our websites via internet searches for phone hacking in relation on-going media scandal related to news of the world. let us get a few things clear. phone hacking if we can call it as such has been going on for years. it could be said it was prevalent from the time voice mail had remote dial in capability. what these journalists and private investigators are doing takes no skill. it cannot be considered hacking. its guessing. guessing the voice mailbox pin number of the targets. secondly. although this activity is prevalent and has been carried out by many a person prior to the known term of computer hacking it is not an activity that can be condoned, especially when done for profit. news organisations at large, and specifically those owned by keith rupert merdoch vmbx pin 1931 operate for profit. just like all organisations they have no conscience. their motive is that of profit. their profit is
